Helping families connect for over two decades.

Our Story

STEP BACK INTO THE OLD WEST.

Fort Rock Christian Family Camp and Christian Retreat Center is a camp for family enrichment. Burrowed against the Ozark National Forest in Northwest Arkansas, we are within driving distance of most of the Central United States! This includes Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Illinois, Kentucky, and Tennessee.

At the family camp, founders Terry and Roxanne Forsyth have recreated an 1800s fort and old west town for an unforgettable vacation. Here your family can step back in time, slow down and enjoy spectacular beauty any time of the year while fellowshipping with other Christian families.

OUR FOUNDERS

Terry & Roxanne Forsyth

In 1995, Terry made a life changing decision. God used this decision to place a burden on his heart for families. He realized that the American families of today were too busy and fragmented. Terry wanted to recreate an era where things were a little slower and families could spend time together. Thus a vision of an 1800’s style town began.

After an out-of-state move, land acquisition in the Ozark’s of Northwest Arkansas, and several years of construction, Fort Rock Family Camp became a reality.

Please join our family for a time-tested approach of family enjoyment, at one of our many exciting retreats.

I have taken my son to Man Camp every August since 2022. He’s now 8 and the highlight of his year and time is going to spend time together and making memories at Fort Rock. I’m edified every year as a father and husband from wonderful preaching and teaching to grow closer in my relationship with Christ and to lead my family with vigor, intentionality and humility. The fellowship with other men is priceless!

Fort Rock was an amazing experience for my family! We had not been in many years, but will definitely come back sooner next time. The whole camp is centered around family. There is a fun family competition that is based on silly games, shooting contests, and fishing. Lots of the day is scheduled, but there is still plenty of free time to rest, fish, or play games. There is also some old-timey worship. My 11 year old son said this was his favorite trip of all time. Our family was able to disconnect from the world and reconnect with each other. God definitely has His hand on Fort Rock. You won’t regret going.
